Pro-Life Nations Beat Pro-Abortion Ones on Maternal Mortality, New Report Shows
Regarding the following:
Of course, countries with restrictive abortion laws will have lower maternal mortalities and they will also have lower cases of physical and mental problems in the child.
It's like this: When women delay giving birth by an abortion to pursue a career, or for whatever reason, the damage done to the cervix and the endometrium (inner lining of the uterus) increases the risk of having a preterm birth and the more abortions the greater the risk. And if the abortionist is a butcher, or drunk, or both, the first abortion, is all that it will take for perforated uterus to ensue, or a hemorrhage, or infection and death.
Even if the woman has an abortion by a sober doctor, the cervix and the endometrium are definitely traumatized. The cervix was not made to be manually dilated and the lining of the uterus was not meant to be scraped. In both instances abrasions occur and many times lacerations and they heal by scar tissue formation -- not good, as it interferes with good blood flow, especially if the embryo attaches to such an area.
The cervix being abnormal and a scarred uterus cannot maintain a pregnancy for 9 months, thus a preterm birth and the child is more prone to develop physical and mental problems. That is if the woman was not made sterile by the abortion.
So, is it any wonder why countries who restrict abortions will have healthier women and healthier children?
You just don't mess with mother nature and expect everything to come up smelling like a rose.
I should mention that sometime a woman has to have her cervix dilated and uterus scraped, such as when she has a spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) and the blood flow is excessive -- the doctor deems that parts of the conceptus still remain, so he has to go in and scrape. In this case it is necessary, but you don't go looking for trouble by having an abortion.
BTW, the Guttmacher Institute mentioned below is an arm of Planned Parenthood. They said they have disassociated themselves from PP but don't you believe it.

Pro-Life Nations Beat Pro-Abortion Ones on Maternal Mortality, New Report Shows
New York, NY (LifeNews.com/CFAM) -- A new report from the World Economic Forum (WEF) shows that countries with restrictive abortion laws are often the leaders in reducing maternal mortality, and those with permissive laws often lag.
According to the report, the pro-life nation of Ireland has topped the global rankings once again with the best maternal health performance.
Abortion advocates have attempted to push an international "right to abortion," claiming that restrictive laws force women to seek unsafe abortion, which in turn leads to high maternal mortality.
In October, the Guttmacher Institute released a report on global abortion calling on states to "expand access to legal abortion and ensure that safe, legal abortion services are available to women in need." Sharon Camp, president of the Guttmacher Institute, asserted that "in much of the developing world, abortion remains highly restricted, and unsafe abortion is common and continues to damage women's health and threaten their survival."
An examination and comparison of several countries included in the WEF survey show that legal abortion does not mean lower maternal mortality rates.
